Ria was born in Jakarta and is currently working for IT company in Jakarta. Before her first dive in 2004, she could not swim. For her, diving was just a dream. But after so many underwater shows and programs she watched on TV, she was determined to see the all the beautiful creatures and experience the peaceful underwater environment by herself. So in 2004, she took a swimming lesson followed by diving lesson, and finally took her first dive at Lombok.
Underwater activities have led Ria and her three ‘diving lover’ friends to finally ramped up Amazing Ambon last July, 2010. Amazing Ambon is a photography literature reference which contains the culture and custom variety of Ambon Island, and also beautiful scenery above and under the water. She was involved in the making of the book because Ambon Island is one of the most beautiful and very well preserved diving spot, yet one of her all time favorite spot ever, aside from Lembeh, Bali, and Tinabo Island in Taka Bonerate.
