Massimo is a software engineer with a deep feeling with water, since he was born in a marine place in the beautiful island of Sicily, in the south of Italy. He loves swimming in warm waters, and started his diving career in Syracuse, Sicily in 1998 with his OWD, followed by AOWD in 2001. He bought his first camera (a Sea & Sea Motormarine MX-10) in 2002 for his first liveaboard in the Red Sea, upgraded to a Motormarine III to improve his photo quality, then moved to digital after drowning his camera twice, salt water first, fresh water second! In Jan 2007 he bought an Olympus SP-320 with PT-030 housing, 1 Fantasea Cool Flash Nano strobe, all with Polycarbonate housings, so that he could see immediately if water gets in! He is still satisfied with his choice. Massimo's diving started in the Mediterranean Sea (Ustica island, Marettimo island, Elba island, Tremiti islands), followed by Thailand (Similan islands), Malaysia (Sipadan, Mabul, Kapalai, Siamil islands), Indonesia (Bunaken, Lembeh). Massimo was fortunate enough to involve his wife Paola in scuba diving, despite her initial fear for deep waters, and now they love diving the Indo-Pacific area where the water is so pleasantly warm and bio-diversity so wide. It was during the Malaysian dives that Massimo began to appreciate critter diving and became fascinated by all the different species of nudibranches. On July 2008, he found Nudi Pixel and this web site immediately became his sharing site of election.
