Originally from France, Frederique now lives in Huddersfield in the north of England where she learnt to dive in 1997. Since then, diving has been her main passion and, inspired by her boyfriend and best buddy Mike, she recently got into underwater digital photography. Although she still enjoys the occasional week-end diving in Scotland or Wales she prefers warm and clear tropical seas. Her favourite dive sites are Jackson Reef in the Strait of Tiran (Red Sea), Kuda Rah and Endiri Tilas (Maldives, South Ari Atoll ): beautiful coral gardens always teaming with shoals of colourful fish and macro life. She is fascinated by all underwater creatures, big and small, with a preference for sharks, octopuses and hermit crabs. Her favourite encounters have been in the Maldives with Manta rays and whale sharks but she is equally enthusiastic about nudibranchs! She currently uses an Olympus u720 with a PT-033 housing for underwater shots and her photos can be found on http://www.flickr.com/photos/frederiquejaffeux/
