Erwin Kodiat

Erwin is the founder and the first web developer and maintainer of Nudi Pixel (back in 2007). He is also the co-founder of Kapal Selam Dive Club, a non profit dive club. He has pursued underwater photography as an enjoyable pastime since 2005 after a short introduction to the art by his friend, Hengky Dotulong. He considers Yuji Law his underwater photography tutor for technical and equipment considerations.

Erwin has traveled to many exotic dive sites in Indonesia and Thailand since 2001. These travels have taken him to Bali, Raja Ampat Islands, Komodo, Alor, Central Moluccas (Ambon, Pulau Tiga, Seram Island), Halmahera Island, Derawan Islands - East Borneo (Derawan, Sangalaki, Maratua), Selayar Island, Manado, Lembeh Strait, Lombok Island, and the Similan Islands.

Erwin has had a real passion for nudibranchs since the first time he went diving and saw the beauty of these 'ocean butterflies'.

He currently hold PADI Open Water SCUBA Instructor, EUIFA Underwater Photography Instructor, and Reef Check EcoDiver Trainer in his belt.

His work has been published in a variety of publications, including Asian Diver Magazine and ASEAN Commemorative Magazine.

He has won Honorable Mention for Pocket Category in 3rd Our World Underwater Underwater Photography Contest, 2nd prize of macro category in Raja Ampat Underwater Photography Competition 2006 and been chosen as November 2007 Inon America's Artist of the Month.
