Wanting to become a diver, Dustin took a bus trip from his home in North Carolina, USA to Puerto Morelos, Mexico in 1997. This was the beginning of his travels dedicated to scuba exploration. After several years diving Central America, South-East Asia was next on the path. Eventually he arrived in the Philippines and bought a basic point & shoot UW camera. During this time, he found a passion in finding and taking pictures of various macro subjects, especially nudibranchs and flatworms. Indonesia is also a favorite destination. His favorite dives are muck dive sites seen during the night. He always enjoys his time spent underwater, thinking that a bad day diving always beats a good day working. However, working as a grower at a plant nursery/garden center provides a satisfying career. He wants to thank the founders of Nudi Pixel and the nudibranch experts who contribute their valuable knowledge to this website.
