Andrew is an Ophthalmic Photographer and has been diving with his wife Virginia in sub-temperate Victoria, south eastern Australia since 1998. He hasn't dived in tropical oceans yet because the local marine life is so diverse and unique. He is fortunate to have formed friendships with Victorian hydroid, nudibranch and pycnogonid taxonomists and Museum Victoria scientists. He benefits from their knowledge and they benefit from his photographic expertise. Many of his images have been published in local marine life ID guides and calendars. His underwater photography began in 2000 using a Nikonos V, then a Nikon Coolpix 5000, and now a Nikon D80 in Ikelite housing and Inon Z220 strobes. More images can be found on his website http://anewton.net and a blog on the Nikon D80 underwater at http://apnewton.blogspot.com
