"This species is very like Hypselodoris nigrostriata and I thought they were one and the same species ever since Hypselodoris zephyra was described. In the new book “Nudibranchs of the World” (pages 124 and 125) Rudie Kuiter has claimed both species are consistently different and both occur on Bali. This animal, however, which comes from Bali, has the diagonal stripes of Hypselodoris nigrostriata (a rather subjective character anyway) and it lacks a yellow marginal band which is characteristic of Hypselodoris zephyra. So I still think they are the same species."
