Distinguished from Chromodoris africana by the blue colouring and the white line along the edge of the mantle margin. Comment from Dr. Richard C. Willan: Thirty years ago it was seriously believed that all the black-striped chromodorids in the world were just variants of this species. Now there as many as 20 species in this group. How times have changed!"
